[Stephen Francia, 07/28/2020]
The Marion Steam Shovel Company was in business from 1884 to 1997, building steam shovels used in the construction of the Panama Canal, Hoover Dam, and the Holland Tunnel, plus many other construction projects. They also built the crawlers that transported rockets to the launch pads at Cape Kennedy. Now all that remains of the company is a large steam shovel bucket in a little grassy park with flagpoles and a couple of historical markers.
