Bath, North Carolina: Landlocked Lighthouse

Newly-built (2015), big, and nautically irrelevant -- although a nearby creek connects to a river that reaches a sound that connects to the ocean.

Elliot Rd, Bath, NC
From Washington take Hwy 264 east, then Hwy 92. Drive five miles, then turn left onto Hwy 1339/Creek Rd. Drive two miles and the lighthouse will be on your left. If you cross the bridge into Bath you drove too far.

Landlocked Lighthouse

The mini lighthouse is located right next to a cornfield and a red and white barn. Weirdly interesting.

Red and White Lighthouse in a Field

This is a newly-built lighthouse at the corner of Creek and Elliot Roads just outside the town of Bath. It stands in the corner of a field, is about 40 feet tall, and is painted red and white.
