Frog Rock is back! I noticed a tip from 2017 that said that the rock had been painted over. I decided to go anyway -- and was rewarded.
[Evelyn Y, 06/30/2020]I am a local to this area. I just drove by and discovered someone painted over the frog. It's now a solid cream color. The area has been struggling with graffiti, and I worried it was a matter of time before the frog's keeper gave up and painted over it completely. I don't have pictures because I was driving when I saw it, but as of November 1, 2017 the frog is gone.

This big rock is painted to look like a frog by property owner (The property has been sold to a developer). I've been by this rock many times and always wanted to submit it, as I noticed there are no attractions listed in Vista, California, in Roadside America.
[Katherine Craig, 05/29/2015]Many towns have no attractions worthy of Roadside America. Vista used to have one -- a Muffler Man -- and let it move to another town. Good to have them back on the map!
