Kittery, Maine: Big Easy Chair

12 feet tall, covered with a fiberglass shell to make it into an easy chair -- a rare style in the Big Chair pantheon. Built in 2004, destroyed by vandals in 2011, but the town rallied and rebuilt the chair in 2012.
78 Government St., Kittery, ME
East side of downtown. From US Hwy 1, turn east at the stoplight onto Government St. You'll quickly see the chair on the right (north) side, in front of a large brick building.
