Famous liquor store mascot coyote. The neon sign of Tootsie was erected on the roof of the liquor store soon after her demise in 1959, restored in 2014.

Tootsie lived in a Deadwood liquor store and was so popular she was credited with making the coyote the state animal of South Dakota. She died in 1959 after recording an album, "South Dakota Tootsie," where she yowled along to popular tunes.
