- I-17 exit 229. Drive east on W. Anthem Way for less than a mile. Turn right at the stoplight onto N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy. You'll see the park on the left. Turn left at the stop sign into the park. The monument is quickly on the left, next to the parking lot.

At the Anthem Veterans Memorial, at 11:11am on Nov. 11, the sun shines directly through holes in five marble pillars, illuminating a round mosaic of the Great Seal of the United States.
[Roger, 06/20/2015]The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 marked the official end of World War I. The five pillars in the monument represent the five branches of the U.S. military. It was designed by Palmer Jones, and unveiled in November 2014.
