I prefer one of the other names for the church: "Temple of the Space Jesus." The church's campanile was built long after the mosaic, and follows the space theme by looking like a rocket.

The mural is undergoing some refurbishing. The colors look vibrant. Eggbeater Jesus has been welcoming people to Huntsville for decades. It will continue to be a place to visit while in Huntsville.

Went by this on my run this morning and snapped a pic. This looked more like Whisk Jesus than Eggbeater Jesus to me, but I definitely got the reference.
