Douglas has a Jackalope Silhouette on a hillside, but lots of other black metal statues also appear along I-25, all the way up to Glenrock. Watch for a buffalo, a couple of different cowboys, a stegosaurus, and probably more that we missed seeing. You may think, judging by their similarity, that the flat, metal silhouettes are part of an organized display. Alas, they are not. Their location along I-25 is coincidental, and they probably all ended up there because I-25 is the main artery through this side of the state. Each individual silhouette was placed by different people on private property along the highway, sometimes as an advertising tactic, and sometimes just for fun.

About 3 miles leaving Douglas on I-25 N, looks like we found a Jackalope in its natural habitat!
