Grand Forks, North Dakota: 14-Foot-Tall Pink Bra
Built in the 1990s. Titled "Losing Support," it was a red-white-and-blue protest against government funding cuts for the arts. Salvaged and painted pink in 2015, retitled "Gaining Support," it now encourages breast cancer awareness.

Make first left, then an immediate right onto road paralleling the highway. You'll quickly see the nursery on the left; the bra is in a flower bed near the parking lot.

The bra was sculpted by Peter John Larson and displayed on the local University of North Dakota campus to protest lack of government "support" for the arts. An administrator decided that the red-white-and-blue brassiere was offensive and had it removed. But it seemed a shame to waste such an eye-catching sculpture, so it was repainted pink and repurposed as a Breast Cancer Awareness bra.
