Blue Sky Mural At Maurice's Piggy Park
Beautiful mural inside a BBQ restaurant by the famous muralist Blue Sky. The namesake of the restaurant was a noted segregationist who was known for riding in on his white horse to public appearances during his failed run for governor of South Carolina in 1974. The horse appears several times in the mural. The Piggy Park restaurants flew the Confederate flag and offered racist literature in addition to the BBQ until his death in 2014 when his son removed both from every location. Many people boycotted the restaurants until this time.
