Glorious views. Car of 1-4 is $20 admission; National Park passes, etc. are not valid since this park is within the Navajo Reservation. Well worth admission to drive through the mesas and buttes to see them up close, and experience views not found elsewhere. There's plenty of tour companies operating guided experiences, but we much preferred taking our own car.

Monument Valley is inside the Navajo Nation. There is a fee to enter the park, but it is worth it. The drive through the park is on a dirt road, but any car is capable. Toward the end, there is an opportunity to sit on a horse and purchase a picture at the end of the cliff. Beautiful and fun for kids, too.
