The Ali Baba Muffler Man towered above the Ali Baba Restaurant and Lounge on Sunset Boulevard east of La Brea Avenue in Hollywood. It stood next to the former Tiny Naylor's restaurant, one block west of the former Famous Amos cookie store. The statue, restaurant, and Tiny Naylor's were all torn down circa 1984 to build a strip mall.
