Stephen Foster, composer of the songs "Camptown Races" and "Oh! Susanna," was a native of Pittsburgh. The Stephen Foster Memorial Museum (originally designed as a shrine) is a small collection containing artifacts from Foster's life, including a cured horse's jawbone that was used as a percussion instrument during the minstrel show "Angelina Baker."
