Town Destroyed By Rambo - Photo Op

There's a plywood cutout of photo op of Rambo in front of the Hope Visitor Info Centre on Water Ave,, about 100 ft. off the old Hwy 1 as you come into town. Pretty much look right from the exact spot in the 1982 First Blood movie where Rambo is first picked up by the sheriff.

Rambo First Blood Film Site

Hope was the production shooting location for the first Rambo movie.

[Peter, 08/02/2015]

For six weeks in the Fall of 1981, the little town of Hope became the location film set for Rambo: First Blood (It was supposedly in Washington state). In the movie, Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) single-handedly destroys the unwelcoming town, establishing the archetype of "crazed Vietnam vet" for a generation ("There are no friendly civilians!"). Most of it is an in-your-mind attraction now, although the town does provide a helpful map of notable locations.
