At 32.5 feet long, it is really big... but not the world's biggest. The sharp tip is sealed within a plexiglass cone affixed with one of the many "No" and "Do Not" signs that can be seen on sculptures all over town.
[Mike Gassmann, 06/06/2019]This is not the world's largest pencil. It is 32.5 feet long. There is a pencil in Malaysia that is 65 feet long, and a pencil at the City Museum in St. Louis that is 76 feet long.
[Jim Rees, 07/25/2018]In fairness to the town of Casey, it doesn't claim that the pencil is the World's Largest. It's been given that title by people who've seen it -- and haven't seen the pencil in St. Louis.
Just across from the World's Largest Mailbox sits the World's Largest Pencil, in the cutest town ever.

The "World's Largest Pencil" is just a couple of blocks away from the "World's Largest Wind Chimes" and the intended site of the "World's Largest Rocking Chair." The installation of the "World's Largest Mailbox" is evident across the street.
