Coralville, Iowa: Firefighter and 9/11 Memorial
The state firefighter memorial was dedicated in 1994. There is a visitor center and memorial wall listing fallen firefighters. A 9/11 memorial features a beam fragment from the Sept. 11, 2001 WTC tower collapse.

This is a memorial with a visitor center and bathroom facilities. They have displays of fire gear from sister cities around the world. I am glad to have visited. Firefighters -- this is a must see.

The state firefighter memorial is a great place to stop and stretch. It has two things to see: the statue of a firefighter and a piece of the World Trade Center.
