Stuckey Bridge: Dalton Gang Ghost

Enjoyed talking to the owner of Stuckey Bridge Canoe while there. Love old bridges, but no ghost for us on this visit. Walk on the track boards and stay off of the other boards. If the dog shows up -- he's very sweet.

Stuckey Bridge: Dalton Gang Ghost

It is an old abandoned bridge. Pretty cool that it is an old bridge, and an artifact of our past...but it is just an old bridge. You can walk out on it so...we'll walk out on it.

Stuckey Bridge

Legend has it that the Dalton Gang left behind one of their members named Stuckey. He was caught, tried for murdering and robbing countless victims, and hung from Stuckey Bridge. The story is that if you hear a splash while on the bridge, look in that direction and you will see his ghost.

[Debbie, 08/27/2015]

Although probably not because of the ghost, Stuckey Bridge is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
