The Aerotrain.

National Railroad Museum

This is actually a pretty cool stop for any railroad fan! The museum maintains a noteworthy collection of railroad objects, photographs, manuscripts, and rolling stock.

Our favorite exhibit in the museum is the Aerotrain, an actual full-size train-of-the-future from 1955 that flopped when people realized that its flashy styling disguised a fairly lousy train. July 2017: Photo added.
