Lynnfield, Massachusetts: Skull Cliff

In 2001, artist "Ichabod" covered this 30-ft. tall cliff with rows of painted human skulls. 2020: reported partly damaged by moron vandals with paint.

325 Broadway, Lynnfield, MA
The unmarked trail head is behind the car dealership located at 325 Broadway. At the beginning of the path, it parallels a section of swamp on the right and a large outcropping of rock. Eventually the path and the swamp veer right, but follow the rock outcropping on the left. After clambering up a bit of a rise, you find Skull Cliff.

Skull Cliff - Skull Rock

Skull cliff is a 30-foot-tall rock cliff face from an old quarry that is completely painted over in bands of skulls and bones. Artist "Ichabod" hand-lettered the completion date (2001), along with this advice: "Take the knowledge that you will someday be these bones and enjoy now all that is precious."

At 325 Broadway in Lynnfield there is a car dealership -- in the back are about 6-8 parking spots for Lynn Preservation. A straight walk in on trails will lead you to it 8-10 min. walk.
