An AT-AT walker from "Star Wars" was sculpted out of wire by artist John Sharpe in Sep. 2015. He plans to keep it outdoors so it will rust. He likes rust. The AT-AT was reported in pieces in December 2023.

We did our drive-by at night, but it was still neat -- a fairly impressive structure.

- I-26 exit 111B. Drive east on US Hwy 1 for two miles. Turn right at the stoplight onto Hwy 35/12th St. Drive south 1.5 miles. Cross the train tracks, then turn left at the stoplight onto Hwy 2/Frink St. Drive a quarter-mile. You'll see some small buildings and artwork on the left; the AT-AT stands in the yard. If you cross Foreman St. you've gone too far.

The wireframe AT-AT walker was built in 2015 by artist John Sharpe, and stands in his yard. It's big but wispy, since it's made entirely of thin steel wire. Sharpe said his intent was to make the sculpture as a kind of outline, and hopes that visitors complete the AT-AT in their minds.
