The medieval-looking gutted walls of the ruined St. Dominic's Church are a strange sight in rural Texas.

- County Rd 5231, Hondo, TX
- Directions:
- From US Hwy 90, either 7.5 miles west of Hondo, or 1.5 miles east of D'Hanis, turn south onto County Rd 422. Drive a quarter-mile. Turn right onto County Rd 5216, then quickly left onto County Rd 5226. Drive south a quarter-mile. You'll see the ruins on the left.

Only about a mile and a half off of highway 90, to the south. Nestled among ranch land, and incredibly quiet. The church and adjoining cemetery are fenced, so exploring inside is likely not allowed.

Want to walk around ancient-looking ruins? St. Dominic's Church was built in 1868 out of limestone and sandstone, according to its historical monument, and abandoned in 1914.
