The parcel of land that includes the last Howard Johnson's is up for sale. It's not clear if the restaurant is still open for business. Its phone number has been disconnected. The HoJo's in Lake Placid closed in 2015, and one in Bangor, Maine, closed in 2016.

The last Howard Johnson's restaurant that's still open! The orange roof, blue steeple, and weather-vane make it an instantly recognizable landmark hearkening back to decades past. While HoJo's used to be a common sight across the country, now there's only one standing. It's worth stopping and taking a picture if you're passing by.
