Although it looks like it was built in 1962, a Space Age parking lot booth was actually created in 2015. A mix of mid-century modern and Googie architecture, with porthole windows.

A new public art project named "Bold Booths" plans to turn mundane downtown parking lot attendant booths into works of art. So far only one has been completed, designed by local artist Malcolm Cochran. It is titled "Coney Island." Six to seven others are planned for the next few years. Coney Island is located in the parking lot behind the Great Southern Hotel.
