Courtesy of the Lloyd Coley family, here are several pictures of the Hot Springs Chevron Muffler Man in various parade configurations before he later became Mr. Spock. He was a Chevron Muffler Man before the Coley family purchased him, so his current owner, Lee Woods, did return him to factory specs.

[Patricia Roeder, 10/18/2024]We haven't felt this weepy since Spock sacrificed himself at the end of Wrath of Khan (1982). The desire to reprise the Golden Age of Muffler Man design is admirable, but in this case historical accuracy seems like a loss for the universe.
We went on a Sunday, so the honesty gate was locked. We could have walked around the gate to get closer but would have been trespassing, so choose not to.

This was one of my favorite stops in Hot Springs. Lee Woods has three giants (for now) and so much other cool stuff, like a Sinclair Dino, Mobile Pegasus, huge KFC bucket, McDonald's playground and a ton more. Super nice guy who loves nostalgia and enjoys sharing it.
