Ferndale, California: Champion Cow Graves
Three local cows buried side-by-side with their own tombstones were national milk- and butterfat-champions in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s.

- Humbolt County Fairgrounds. Enter the main gate off of 5th St. and drive straight back, keeping to the right. The three graves will be on the left, in front of one of the smaller buildings, just before the road bends to the left.

The cows are interred on the Humbolt County Fairgrounds. It's pretty strange to see three tombstones dedicated to cows. Unless there's some big event going on admission is free, but if the Fair is going on you'll probably have to pay to see this ode to bovine overachievement.
