Monmouth, Illinois: Bagpiper Statue
A peculiar college mascot, the honking bronze bagpiper stands on a low pedestal just outside the football field, one foot propped on a pile of books. Sculpted by Matt Glenn, unveiled Oct. 2015.

- On the campus of Monmouth College. From US Hwy 34, on the north side of town, turn south at the stoplight onto Hwy 20/N. 6th St. Drive south a half-mile. Turn left onto E. Clinton Ave. Drive to the parking lot at the end of the street. The bagpiper is just beyond it, straight ahead.

Parking is available immediately adjacent to the bagpiper statue. There is a sign warning you that parking is at your own risk due to baseball hazards. The statue is not particularly exciting, although the campus is nice.
