The monument for the Birthplace of Johnny Cash is gated but not locked.
[Jerry L. Baldridge, 04/30/2016]Kingsland is the birthplace of the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Kingsland built a small memorial to their famous son in town. While visiting, don't miss the small Cash collection inside the post office just a block away. The memorial is available 24/7, but the post office is only open during normal business hours.
[Timothy Lee, 12/22/2015]Cash lived in Kingsland until he was three. The home-made memorial was the town's 1976 U.S. Bicentennial project.
