Hidden in the woods, this ancient-looking Fountain of Youth has had its water shut off since 1955. Safety -- or Conspiracy?

Easy to get to the Fountain of Youth. There's a tiny creek to cross over, but the trail is easy to see. Two young kids were there while we were there. Fun stop for the novelty.
[Logan, 08/04/2020]The fountain is easy to see from the road, but pretty hard to get to. It's about 100 feet off the road, down a steep bank and across a narrow creek. The bank is 10-12 feet high. The path down the bank barely exists, and goes through weeds that are 3-5 feet tall in July. Thankfully, somebody has installed big stone blocks that let you cross the creek without wading. The going is much easier on the other side of the creek.

Over the stream and through the woods (literally) you will find the Fountain of Youth. The natural spring in rural North Park looks more like something out of The Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately it is considered contaminated and there is no pump to help drink the waters. It was somewhat hard to find. Just drive extremely slow and you'll eventually spot it.

The Fountain of Youth is near a creek that runs along the road, and after a rain your feet may get wet. You will have to climb down from the road about 5 feet.
