St. Petersburg, Florida: Big Red Shark Eats You

Painted in late 2015, a giant shark mural is on a blood-red outside wall, angled downward so that people who stand in front of it are inside its toothy gaping jaws. More fun than most murals.
Address:
1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL
Directions:
Downtown, on the south side of 1st Ave. N. opposite its intersection with Mirror Lake Drive N. Set back from the street, at the back of a parking lot, painted on the east-facing wall of the State Theatre. You'll see a gaudy mural facing the street; the shark mural is on an adjacent wall, harder to see from the street.
