Homer, Alaska: 13-Foot-Tall Halibut Hook
Built in the Spring of 2015, the hook had to be filled with cement to keep it from shaking apart in the wind.

- From the town of Homer, drive south on Hwy 1/Homer Spit Rd, almost to the end of the spit. You'll see the hook on the left, just as you reach the marina, at the corner of Freight Dock Rd.

There is a huge Halibut hook in Homer along the Spit Road. You can't miss it. Just drive from the main town of Homer, out toward the Spit; it's on your left. Stop and take a picture and enjoy Homer!
