The centerpiece of this park is a monument to the old firehouse that once stood there. The base, made of bricks left over from construction of the current firehouse, supports a sculpture of a fireman's hat and boots made of material from the city/county scrap yards (The hat was made from an old street light). There is also an old steam fire pump on site, and the walkways in the park have recycled glass rather than rock in the concrete; a very pretty result.
