Feeding the buffalo.

Hawkeye Buffalo Ranch

Feed buffalo by hand! The farm of Dan McFarland has been in his family since 1854. They manage a herd of buffalo and provide tours. Ride in a wagon out to the timber and feed the buffalo by hand. You also learn about Native Americans, the history of buffalo, and other animals. There's a small room with Native American artifacts, buffalo hides, and meat to buy. When do you ever get this close to buffalo? Dan is great with kids and full of facts about buffalo, Native American history, and historical facts.
