Professional mural features a large extruded mermaid. Created in 2015, but tries to capture the spirit of the long-gone Aquarena Springs tourist attraction.

Downtown, on the south side of Hwy 80/E. Hopkins St., between N. Edward Gary St. and N. LBJ Drive. The mural faces east; only visible to westbound traffic.

The Mermaid mural is in a small parking lot behind a Papa John's pizza. If the parking lot is crowded you might miss it!

A nicely done though bittersweet reminder of when this natural spring was filled with frolicking mermaids. And no tribute to "Ralph the Diving Pig"....
