- Argo Gold Mine. Big red building on a hillside visible from the freeway. I-70 exit 241A. Turn west onto I-70 BUS. Drive a few hundred feet. Turn right at the Subway onto Gilson Ave. Cross the bridge, then turn left onto Riverside Drive. Follow it a half-mile to the mine, on the right.

The actual mine part is relatively small, but exploring the old mine buildings multiple levels and remaining equipment is the highlight. Afterward, pan for gold and get pictures with the rustic equipment. Great tour, takes about an hour.
