Nine wartime cargo ships, made of concrete because of metal shortages, now serve as a breakwater just off shore. They're battered and half-sunken, but still recognizable as ships.

- Kiptopeke State Park. From US Hwy 13, about four miles north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, turn west onto Hwy 704 and drive to the end of the road. You'll see the ships offshore.
