Atlanta, Georgia: Doll Head Trail

Hikers along a trail that was a former dump have fashioned art from the debris. Stay on the trail: the undergrowth is home to animals that bite. And bring insect repellant.

Go left on the wooden walkway, then follow the dirt path to the Doll Head Trail. It's marked with fishing bobbers on trees (look for them) and will take you in a loop.

Doll Head Trail

It can be a little confusing to find. Apply mosquito repellent, as the trail is next to a swampy area. Some of the artwork/writing is rather clever, especially if you enjoy puns or poetry paired with visuals.

Doll Head Trail At Constitution Lake

Nice walking trail to a small lake. Further along is a side trail open art exhibit. All sculptures are crafted by visitors from items found in the park.

[Aim Kru, 03/20/2016]

The Doll Head Trail has been decorated with doll heads since early 2011. It's recommended that visitors keep away from the underbrush, a haunt of deer ticks and copperhead snakes.
