Music Box Steps

This is the iconic, long outdoor staircase used in the classic Laurel and Hardy short, "The Music Box." The steps are open to the public and easily climbed. They are marked with a plaque at the foot of the steps. Very fun to see, especially if you've read the Ray Bradbury story about the ghosts of Laurel and Hardy, set on those steps and the adjacent apartments.

[Joi Weaver, 06/18/2017]

"The Music Box" was a crated piano that deliverymen Laurel and Hardy had to push all the way up the steps to a house at the top. It won an Academy Award in 1932. July 2017: Photo added.
