The BBQ and sandwiches might be great, but we came for the sign, a neon and bulb relic probably lit since "Booby" Friedman opened his place in 1961. His bow-tied cartoon countenance frowns from above.

I was surprised as anyone to see Booby's by the side of the road. Though I didn't get too close I did get close enough to take a snapshot. It's a unique neon sign and it made the eternal 12-year-old boy in me giggle.
