Rockaway Beach, Oregon: Ride the Pronto Pup, Rooftop Mega-Pup
Invented in 1939, Pronto Pups are older than corn dogs, and fried in pancake batter. A 30-foot-long mega-Pup sits on the roof, and in front there's a cash-only mechanical bucking Pup that you can ride. Opened in March 2016.

Pronto Pup is the name of the restaurant. The owner has made a mechanical corn dog to ride for a quarter. The corn dogs are the best ever! Be sure to buy a "I rode the corn dog at Pronto Pup" t-shirt with the logo of the bucking corn dog. Only open Friday-Sunday

The giant corndog -- legally a "Pronto Pup" -- was unveiled on Pronto Pup's roof in early 2016. The eatery also claims to have the World's First Riding Mechanical Corndog, a reworked child's horsey supermarket ride.
