Skull Rock
Legend has that a track crew from the Santa Fe Railroad turned the rock into a skull with paint as a practical joke. Train conductors would tell the passengers, just before they'd round a curve, that Indians killed a scout and left his skull as a warning -- and then the passengers would see the rock. It has been maintained by locals over the years. As a bonus, on the road to Skull Rock there's a White Horse Rock, too.
