This was about 10 minutes off the highway. The statue of Lefty is well done and is surrounded by legends such as Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Jr. I was pleased to find Lefty was near several playgrounds, a historic cemetery, and the pioneer village, with several Texas historic markers -- all under intermittent shade of the pine trees.
