Manuel Dewey Clark, Jr. (1922-1988) was a musician and character performer at the Barn Dance show next door for half a century. The bronze sculpture depicts him as "Old Joe Clark," banjo at the ready.

The Old Joe Clark statue is located to the left of the entrance to the Old Barn. The complex looks to be a wonderful venue for top country and blues artists. Many shops too. Lots of parking, and even a campground with hookups.
