[Meghan, 05/19/2016]Part of the Polk family plot is carved to resemble a bed for three -- in this case, three children. The stone headboard and frame surround three pillows -- symbols for eternal slumber -- inscribed with the name of each asleep forever child. Jefferson Scott (died 1907) and Julia Polk (died 1912) commissioned it for their sadly short-lived kids.
