O. Henry Office Memorial

This inlaid sidewalk memorial commemorates Asheville resident William Sydney Porter, whose pen name was O. Henry. It also features a bronze lock of hair, combs, and a pocket watch from his famous short story "Gift of the Magi."

According to the plaque, O. Henry's office was "nearby." He's buried in Asheville's Riverside Cemetery.
