Round-headed cartoon guy wears a straw hat, sleeve garters, and a smile. Sam, the official town mascot, is 11 feet tall. Built out of fiberglass and oxlite by George Barone in 1968.

Welcome! As long as you are driving east. When heading west, this statue is obscured by trees. It's a busy road, but there are lots of businesses, so parking is easy.
