We stopped by to see a few while in Pennsylvania. This one is located between the road and a parking lot. The three men are arguing with a gun, whiskey and yelling. A quick, easy find.

This statue commemorates the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791, a tax protest in western Pennsylvania during the presidency of George Washington. The so-called "whiskey tax" was the first tax imposed on a domestic product by the newly formed federal government. Although the tax applied to all distilled spirits, whiskey was by far the most popular distilled beverage in the 18th century U.S. The new tax was a part of U.S. treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton's program to reduce America's war debt from the Revolutionary War. Great stop for history buffs.
