In 1939, what little remained of Rhode Island founder Roger Williams was disinterred and placed in a new monument at Prospect Terrace Park. The memorial includes an oddly-posed statue of Williams, which gazes out at the Providence landscape. The view from the park is gorgeous, but Williams' grave is often tagged with graffiti, and his statue has even had fingers stolen over the years.
