The big Dairyland Cow in Reedsville is now in Bellesville, looking fresh and fine! At the road end of a long farm driveway, so you can pull in safely. There is nothing but the cow there, but they are clearly expecting people to stop and admire it. We probably wouldn't have driven out of our way to see this, but were delighted for the accidental roadside discovery.
[Sarah Gowan, 09/19/2023]The cow must have moved. As of 4/9/21 it's not at this location.

A 13-foot-tall tall bovine stands on Route 655 near Reedsville. The cow was purchased in the early 1970s from a dairy farm in St. Marys. But after four decades of standing at a now defunct and demolished milk and ice cream outlet, she is known around these parts as The Dairyland Cow. With a new coat of paint and a hard-to-miss location at the entrance to the Hameau Farm summer camp and artist retreat, this is one giant cow that gets the attention she deserves.
