At the intersection of Sulphur Springs Road and highway 49 is another one of those "cars rolling up hill" illusions. The place is known locally as "Gravity Hill." There are no markers or signs. The attraction is publicized only by word of mouth. To experience the illusion, drive your car north on Sulphur Springs Road to the stop sign at highway 49 just past the crest of the hill. Once you've come to a stop, put your car in neutral and coast backward up to the crest of the hill. About fifty yards.
It's an effective illusion, although it's far from the most spectacular of the "car rollin uphill" roads to be found. What the heck, though. Worth what you paid for it, right?
