Gigantic Minion Silo

Private residence boundary has cones, ropes, and large NO TRESPASSING, STAY BEHIND ROPE signs. The pull-off is not accessible and they make it clear they don't want you in the driveway. Since it's a 45 mph country road with no real place to pull off, it's very difficult to achieve a photo op here. They don't seem to have embraced their fame, which is a shame because it's a really cute paint job.

There were cones in the driveway when my girlfriend and I visited, so we couldn't drive in. We were still able to walk close to the silo. The family who owns the silo asks that you do not walk in the cornfield. I think as long as you are respectful, you are fine. You can also leave a tip and sign the guestbook in a box outside.

There must be too many visitors stopping by, because now there is a rope along the road and visitors are asked to take photos from the road and to not trespass on the property.

A rusty silo has been transformed into a colorful character known as a Minion from the movie, Despicable Me. I met Kathy Stark and her family and they are wonderful people. They have a welcome sign out front to invite people to stop by and take pictures and to also sign the guest book on hand. Well worth the time to look this attraction up.
